Our Patent Pending Pass or Fail Non-Visible Contaminant Test Kit™ contains everything necessary to evaluate if iron contaminants, including soluble salts, that cause corrosion are present on a metal surface. These non-visible contaminants often lead to premature coatings failure since they typically promote osmotic blistering and failure of a coating if they are not removed before coating commences. Our Kit includes a stainless steel wire brush to remove any oxides which will often interfere with the determination of salt compounds.
Our Pass or Fail Non-Visible Contaminant Test Kit™ can be useful for sales/demonstration purposes or as an inspection tool in determining if solution salts are present. It is useful from the standpoint that salts typically congregate and are often challenging to locate. Our Kit allows for testing in many or all areas of the surface being evaluated. Typically areas that exhibit pitting or corrosion do in fact have soluble salts present.
